Happy St Patrick’s day

Best wishes to our Irish customers. Whatever you are doing today have a good one.

After the frenzy of Cheltenham we return to earth with a bump today. Lots of racing, but little of note. Use today to adjust yourself back to the melee of lower quality racing. On the football however we have the FA Cup quarter finals, so that looks interesting and will throw up some opportunities. I may dip in out and of those markets.

For main part today however, I will be resting and catching up on Cheltenham week. Plenty of analysis to do. I’ll be watching the markets but it’s unlikely to throw up many really good opportunities. I need to be careful as well as even if I worked really hard today,  it’s likely it would take all day today to earn what I could in 15 minutes last week.

Back to the FA Cup, did you know that if you backed the final eight with £10 at the odds available in the third round you would have netted £92. But of course back in round three it would have cost you much more than that to do so. However if you varied your stake according to the teams chances, that would have worked.

Best results form backing to level stakes so far: –

Everton – 24 to 7.8
Sunderland – 36 to 13.5
Tottenham – 9 to 3.75
Leicester – 220 to 95
Liverpool – 8.4 to 4.1

The change of manager at Sunderland has paid off in terms of this cup run. One for the notebook.
