US Open Golf day one

Weather did have an effect on the day but not as dramatic as I may have hoped for, conditions where generally quite good. The ground staff have done an excellent job it seems. Still trying not to laugh at the ‘flags’ though!

Woods got off to an indifferent start, but the top of the leaderboard took advantage of that to establish a lead. The front of the book generally slipped, mainly thanks to Woods. But no real contenders came from outside the front pack, so it hasn’t quite fulfilled it’s potential, just yet. With no major movers from outside the top players, the key players at the front contracted a little.

I’m set up after one day with a small positive value on the tournament +£13, but my maximum return, although very unlikely, is way above that. In reality it’s shaping up to be towards the lower end of that range at the moment. But time will tell and a bit of day one and all of day two now awaits us.

Key positive movers from day one, back to lay returns to £10 stakes: –
