For those who have upgraded to 1.35.x you may have noticed something different about the way the desktop looks when you log in.<\/p>\n

The desktop was an area that has looked the same for many years now and it needed refreshing. Gone is the old jumble of messages that you may have not read for a while.<\/p>\n

In its place is a new active desktop that not only integrates the social aspect of Bet Angel but also has direct links to the main areas and features of Bet Angel making Bet Angel easier to use and quicker to get started.<\/p>\n

Active Buttons<\/h2>\n

The main new active parts are the eight large buttons \u2013 four either side of the forum area \u2013 that will bring up the various features.<\/p>\n

It is fairly obvious what they will do we hope:-<\/p>\n

And the \u2018Select Market\u2019 dialogue box or Soccer Mystic will appear.<\/p>\n

Try clicking on a few of the other buttons. You will see we have now made it easier to view the user-guide, open the market overview feature and start Guardian.<\/p>\n

If you are viewing this article from within the Bet Angel browser then the above buttons will work even though they are embedded in this blog post. If you are reading this post outside of Bet Angel the buttons above will open a blank page or return an error!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The new desktop has been developed to show the eight active buttons and the forum feed perfectly in a 1024×768 display which is the default size when Bet Angel is first installed and opened.<\/p>\n

If you have a larger monitor and maximise the Bet Angel window you will see the latest Blog post and the twitter feed. Or you can scroll the desktop down to see this.<\/p>\n

We had many different ideas regarding what information we could display in the central part of the new desktop. Eventually it was decided to show the latest forum posts as it was felt that the social aspect of Bet Angel and the help available from the forum is important to many users. The forum is the best place to keep up to date with what is going on with Bet Angel, Betfair and more. The last 20 posts are fed through to the desktop (use the scroll bar to the right of the forum area to view more posts).<\/p>\n
