Not the biggest turnover Golf tournament on the calendar from a matched bet turnover perspective, but the nearest one to home!<\/p>\n

So this week, I’ve been popping back and forth to Wentworth to keep an eye on proceedings in the morning. It’s not too far from me so I can do the school run and then divert up the M3 to the golf course.<\/p>\n

I nipped along for the first time on Wednesday for the Pro-AM day.\u00a0I used the day to remind myself of the course layout and to have a look at some of the players first hand. The one stand out thing for me on Wednesday was how little confidence Luke Donald seemed to have. I was trying to position myself ahead of each shot and for some reason Donald’s ball kept finding me or a bush nearby, off the fairway. It led me to have a cheeky lay on him, as favourite, ahead of the actual tournament. That achieved a very quick pay off as play got underway on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Conditions are tricky on the first two days, but look set to improve a great deal over the weekend. That would seem to lend itself for any high ranked pro in contention by the end of today, to make a decent move over the weekend.<\/p>\n
