<\/a><\/p>\nThis is saying if the price of the runner reaches anywhere between 1.01 and 1.4 then place a bet.<\/p>\n
It is also saying only place the bet if the Weight of Money (WOM) is less than 100%. Generally this would be true at all times. We can adjust the value here if we want the WOM to be used as an indicator also. So a WOM value of less than 50% would indicate that there is downward pressure on a price. But in this simple example I am going to use less than 100%.<\/p>\n
But why place at 1.01? If we are using this rule in play then there are a couple of things we need to remember:<\/p>\n
1 \u2013 The market is likely to be fast moving. The price can jump from 1.4 to 1.1 in a nanosecond when a market is in-play. Setting the place at value at 1.01 gives us a better chance of getting matched since Betfair will always match at the best available price anyway. So even if we place at 1.01, if 1.4 is available then we will get it.<\/p>\n
2 \u2013 There is a small delay in placing bets into in-play markets. By the time the bet is accepted then the price will have moved on. See point 1 above.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s also worth bearing in mind that many runners that trade at 1.4 during in-running markets will go onto lose! So there is no guarantee here.<\/p>\n
We then need to apply the rule.<\/p>\n
Switch to the automation tab. You will see the runners in a grid with a column of tick boxes on the right \u2013 Back and Lay.<\/p>\n
Here we can select to apply the rule to individual runners or the entire field. Note the automatic bet will only fire once per runner. It will then need to be manually reset.<\/p>\n
