Well I did say it was probably worth doing! I managed to get slightly more than the \u00a350 I managed last year, but was helped by a number of favourable mitigating factors and a bit of luck. Sometimes you need that to pull out a good result. The race itself must be one of few where the prize money dwarfs the turnover on Betfair. It was a great race as well, probably the most expensive photo finish in racing history. There is a video of it here: –<\/p>\n

Don’t believe that there is suddenly some wonderful characteristic with this race or venue. I’d be surprised if I can achieve this again. It was just a case of everything falling into place just perfectly and being in the right frame of mind and having the skill to take advantage of that. I think I’ll have to wait a while before I get this chance again.<\/p>\n
