The weather is looking mixed\u00a0this weekend for the first real big trading market of the flat season, the Guineas.\u00a0I’ve always enjoyed the Guineas meeting and have had some fun and game over the years on it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last year on the 2000 Guineas I bagged a decent total\u00a0from the race. The market reached over \u00a34m in turnover but\u00a0tomorrow I think it will be down a bit. This is mainly due to the market dynamics and the fact it is a much more competitive race this year. It should be an interesting market though. It’s a nice big field and if we hit it right tomorrow it should be a decent trade.<\/span><\/p>\n

Being a market veteran, I thought I’ve underperformed for the last couple of years. If you have been around for some time it’s tough to really perform at the highest level or hit new heights. For that to happen you need all things to slot into place perfectly, including a bit of luck, to get the result your are really looking for. I still haven’t beaten my total from 2010<\/span><\/a> when just that happened and I walked away with a decent result from the race and on the day (see below).<\/span><\/p>\n

But back to now and I’m looking forward to this years meeting. The video I produced last year is more or less valid for this year, so I don’t think there is much point in re-recording it. Have a look and get some hints from it. That is also listed below.<\/span><\/p>\n
